A thee colour screenprint [70x50cm] by illustrator and record cover designer Lewis Heriz [Sofrito], in an edition of 60, printed by master printer Ramón Aguilera Carrazana at Taller de Serigrafía Rene Portocarrero, Old Havana. Embossed with the workshop's official seal, signed and numbered by the artist.
The print depicts batá percussion maestro Galís, during rehearsals for his group's collaboration with Ariwo's Pouya Ehsaei in the run-up to Manana Festival 2016. Developed from a live sketch in session by Heriz.
10 copies remain in Taller Portocarrero's archive. The majority of copies were distributed among the Cuban musicians and Manana crew. the remaining 19 copies are being put on public sale to help recoup the costs of the project, and to help raise funds to support the festival's continued work with the Cuban musicians.
